Mmm...

So, some time ago some friends and I found out about this robot sumo competition that would be held in the Engineering University. As we are all interested in technology, robots, and programming we decided that it would be cool to enter and see what we could do.

All we had to do was programming the robot to push another robot off a circle. In the category we signed up for we didn't have to build the robot (that was far too complicated for us), so we just programmed it. Out of all the languages that we could use, we decided to use JavaScript since we all had at least some experience using it.

So basically that's it. We had to choose a name for our team (which consisted of four people), and a friend came up with a incredibly ridiculous yet funny name and signed up without asking us whether we liked the name or not. The name, was IBO más más. Now this probably doesn't sound as ridiculous to you as it sounds for me, but I'll at least explain it. IBO is our school's name. "más más" means "plus plus" (++). So it's named after our school and C++, even if we were using Java, and instead of typing "++" he wrote "más más" (the funniest thing is that at least he included the accents).

Yeah I know it's not that funny but oh well.

So after struggling with the programming, the day came and actually the competition would be held during three days (because there were several categories, each with its teams, and at the same time there were some exhibitions - which were pretty cool). It took place from last Thursday until last Saturday.

The day before it all started, we went to the university and kind of explored it. At night we helped the organizers to prepare everything (that included moving a lot of things such as computers and stuff including tables, lots of chairs, etc). We got to meet all the organizers who were all cool and pretty nice to us. We also got the official T-Shirts.
The day after, we went there, and what can I say, we just beat anyone that dared fighting against us. We didn't expect to do such a good work. The second day it was pretty much the same, and on the third day the finals took place. We ended up winning, that's it, first place. Not even ourselves could believe it!

Prizes including T-Shirts (which were like the ones the organizers were using, so it was pretty god), 4GB pen drives, one of those lego-like kits to build robots, a book about robots and programming, and a "Microsoft prize" (we don't know what it is yet, but hopefully we will receive it soon, whatever it is).

So it was a wonderful experience. We met lots of cool people and we even won. Yay!

So, in school there's this friend who is always talking about computer, and in some occasions video games. In certain conversation we had, I saw we have a lot in common. He told me he usually played Age of Empires II, and he was a fan of Starcraft, and other couple of games I used to play lots of years ago.

So after talking to him, I couldn't help but install some of those games. So lately, I've been playing a lot to:
-Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion.
-Sim City 4.
-And lately, I've been playing excessively to Starcraft (w/ Brood War).

And yeah, I can't wait for Starcraft II :D

Hi guys! I don't know if you have read Tom's post about the new features that are being released, but as you should know I've been chosen to be the first pig mod in the NG history!!

It's an honor and I really couldn't believe it when the staff contacted me, but it feels great. I'll also be a forum mod for a short time until I become 100% functional in the Pig Portal.

So there's only one question left to answer... Have you gotten your pig yet? I sure have!

Hi :D

So my lame old MP3 player is now broken for an unknown reason. That means that I lost most of the songs I had in there, because only a few of them are on my computer. But I don't care about it, I was getting tired of the music anyway.

So I'll probably buy a new not-so-lame sort of music-playing electronic gadget, and I want to build a new music collection, which will not be based on my last one. I was never the kind of guy who knows a lot of music and stuff, so there's where you come in :D

If you want to, leave a comment to tell my which your favorite song is, or just to say which songs I should listen to. Any genre is accepted. Stupid comments are accepted too.

EDIT: On 14th February I'll go to Brazil for 2 weeks. I'll be back around March 1st. Thanks a lot to Insanimation who will be depositing for me. Really, he's awesome!

Well, I'm writing this right now because I'm bored and I don't want to study, and to keep people here informed (because you all worry about me). Also I don't want the birthday news post to be showed when someone enters my profile.

So... As the title says, classes are about to end. I just can't believed, it seems this year started yesterday... I remember being new in my school, and being in a class where I didn't know anyone. This year was great. I made a lot of friends and have a great time with them. I also became a ping pong (or table tennis whatever) and volleyball fan/player, sports that I didn't like at all before :D

So, right know, after three weeks everything will end. I won't have to go to classes, and I'll miss a lot of people, but life goes on...

You see, twice a year we have a special test in each subject which is real important. The first tests period is in July, and the second one is now. You have a test each day during two weeks, the notes you get are very important, and even if you are a great student, getting a bad note on this tests can make you fail... Also if you were not a good student at all, this is an extra opportunity. After this two weeks, there's an extra class week when you go to the school and get your notes, see how well you did, etc.

As I'm a good student, getting a 6 out of 12 (or even less in some subjects) is OK, but that doesn't mean I don't have to study too. Anyway, enough of this... Here you have the calendar:

Today, October 21st, I turn 16. Yes, sixteen years ago, at 3:15am, I was born.

Although I never considered my birthdays something special, 16 is the age I like most.

I may expand this later.

Today was a weird day...

I woke up sweating, it was hot like fuck (and I can't stand when it's too hot). I went to school, a lot of friends congratulated me, and they hit me a lot too (I don't know if you the same hitting-the-b-day-guy thing in the US). But it wasn't that bad.

About 11:50, it became clouded and very dark. The weather changed dramatically in less than 10 minutes, it was very weird. It became dark and cold, like if it was 21:00, it really seemed like it was too late. Imagine going from something like hot as fuck to very cold. Everyone was freezing (except me, who love/s cold and doesn't almost feel it [that's why I can't stand the hot]). It rained as fuck, it hasn't rained like that for months.

I came home some hours later and it got sunny and hot again, pretty weird. I spent the rest of the day with friends and family.

I had a chocolate cake too.

October is a special month, isn't it? In case you didn't know, I was born on October, 1992. 21th October, to be precise. And in case you're not intelligent and don't understand what I'm trying to say, I'll write it in this way:
This October 21st is my 16th birthday.

So, as I know no one cares about that, I'll write more interesting things:

1- A few days ago (September 29th) I entered the Newgrounds Police Department, also known as the NGPD. I'm still an apprentice though, but things are going well.
2- I'm now a Wi/Ht? regular. Here you can see the post, where it says I received 14 votes. I still have the feeling that other people deserved more votes than the ones they got.

Some statwhorin' things:

-I reached level 14, yay!
-I'm now a Police Sergeant. That's right, I have 1000 B/P points.
-Reached 1000 posts!

Some cool facts:

-I have a new signature. Actually, it's my first signature ever on this forum.
-I have nothing else to say.
-This news posts was edited more than 5 times within the 2 minutes after it was created due to HTML problems. And another time to put this.
-And another time because the problem was fixed.
-And one more time to say I've just reached 1000 posts!
