Hi guys! I don't know if you have read Tom's post about the new features that are being released, but as you should know I've been chosen to be the first pig mod in the NG history!!

It's an honor and I really couldn't believe it when the staff contacted me, but it feels great. I'll also be a forum mod for a short time until I become 100% functional in the Pig Portal.

So there's only one question left to answer... Have you gotten your pig yet? I sure have!

Good! The staff has told me to do a little research to know who could be pig modded in the future. I'll make sure you're on the list of possible mods.

Of course that doesn't mean you'll be modded, I can't promise you'll be become a mod, it also requires a voting process, but you're a good candidate!

I know, at the beginning it's a bit of a shock, but if you think about it, it looks reasonable.

Someone needs to take care of the Pig Portal, and I also have to make sure every pigs grows happy and healthy.

Thanks, right now I'm having a lot of work (I actually have to go through all the pigs and validate them), but in a near future there will be more pig mods so my job will be easier.

Other people and me talked about that, actually. Someone (I don't remember who) said it would be too similar to fab so it should be brown for mug.

So we'll see what happens after the next NG redesign.

I talked to the staff about it (luckily an Admin was on AIM). Apparently they changed a few things and several servers were in maintenance for a few minutes, producing some errors. It makes sense, after all I received some complaints about NG being down.

But now it should be fixed. Thanks.

Congrats. I feel that you've always deserved a place as a pig mod and I know that you're going to do a great job. Hopefully there will be more pig mods in the future to help you out with your job, validating all the pigs can't be easy.

Yeah going through all the pigs is hard and takes time, and sometimes I'm not in the mood but I have to work anyway because I'm the only pig mod, so if I don't validate the pigs, no one will.

So yeah, it's a huge responsibility.

Q: How does one become a moderator?

A: Do not ask to be a mod! Users who are model poster, act mature, and help point out problems to the current moderators if they appear to have overlooked something (without being annoying about it) are invited to become mods themselves. If we decide we need more moderators, this type of consistent, helpful user will be more likely to receive an invitation.
